Located 45 miles southwest of Heber Utah via highway 40 is Currant Creek Reservoir. This reservoir sits at an elevation of 8000 feet and is a popular destination for hiking, fishing and boating. Species in this lake are primarily Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout.
Facilities and improvements at Currant Creek Reservoir include paved roads, parking spurs, flush toilets, dump station, boat ramp, handicap accessible fishing pier and playground. The Currant Creek campground offers 53 camp sites which include running water, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables. If you would prefer primitive camping several locations are available below the Currant Creek dam next to the river that flows from the reservoir. The river itself offers fantastic fishing opportunities but be sure to keep up on the current fishing regulations as the river differs from the reservoir. As you make your drive up to the reservoir keep an eye out for the local wildlife you never no what you might see.
