However, if you don’t have a wok, any large cooking pan you have at home or in your camping gear will work. The first step was to brown a quarter pack of bacon in the bottom of the Dutch oven. Chop up half an onion and add it to the bacon. Now, you can brown your roast in your Dutch oven, or you can do what we did, and brown the roast in a separate cast iron pan, before placing the roast in the oven.

The first step is to slice up several large potatoes or as many as you feel will feed your party. For the exact recipe, slice up 3 large potatoes. Slice up 2 to 3 cups of ham. Cut into cubes. Slice up some onion. I personally don’t like a lot of onion, but if you do, add more. The recipe calls for 2 medium onions, sliced or chopped.

For this simple perch recipe, I used a seasoned bread crumb mixture, and air fried the fish for around 12 minutes. Being this was my first time using an air fryer the fish turned out a little dry, but they still tasted great. Next time, I will decrease the temperature or the cooking time.
